Tickets for the highly anticipated heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua reportedly sold out within an hour of going on sale on October 9, with more than 500,000 fans said to have joined the online queue. About 80,000 tickets were released for the December 11 fight at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, with prices initially ranging from £88.50 to £13,128, including booking fees.
Following the sell-out, tickets appeared on resale websites at significantly higher prices, with ringside VIP seats reportedly advertised for as much as £73,645 and upper-tier seats listed for £425. The fight, announced in September, is expected to be broadcast globally on Netflix, with ringwalks scheduled for around 1:00 a.m. GMT on December 12.
Fury and Joshua brings together two former two-time world champions in a contest expected to attract worldwide attention. The promotion involves Turki Alalshikh’s The Ring and UFC chief Dana White, following earlier uncertainty over promotional arrangements. Organisers have yet to announce the undercard fights, while reports suggest the boxers could share a purse approaching $200 million.
