Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has publicly supported Kamo State’s debut cinema movie, Starlomo, days after her absence from the Lagos premiere sparked speculation about their relationship. Akindele congratulated Kamo State and filmmaker Kayode Kasum while urging fans to see the movie in cinemas.
Kamo State, whose real name is Akinyoola Ayoola, later thanked Akindele for her continued support. He had previously dismissed reports of tension between them, explaining that she missed the September 20 premiere because she was outside the country.
Starlomo, which marks Kamo State’s first cinema movie, was released nationwide on Friday. Kamo, who began his career as part of the comedy duo Nepa Boys, has since transitioned into acting and featured in several Nollywood projects.
